Not only O-K, but it can get you through it. Just drink plenty of water too.

A common cold yeah. A beer is okay. The flu, maybe not so much. Of course you need to keep hydrated with either one, but you'd probably be better off with hot tea, or chicken soup(believe it, or not it works), I don't know how your body will handle beer if you have the flu, but alcohol is a poison your body has to filter out and why give it more to deal with while it's trying to heal from infection? Now, it's true alcohol kills germs, so maybe that would help. Hey, when I had a really crappy cold a shot of whiskey seemed to help. Maybe it's worth a try. Okay, yeah, go for it.

Not enough info. but generally it should be OK as long as you are eating reasonably well. If you have had e.g. flu for a few days and need fluids then ONE beer would be good. However, if you have a drinking problem and are run down because of it, not eating well etc. then it certainly would be healthier to NOT drink at all! GIve it up! If you are on antibiotics you should not drink alcohol because it makes the antibiotic not work as well.

if you can drink beer when you are sick ....then you really are not that sick...i just got food poisoning and i could not even drink water....same goes for cold, flu, ..but read labels of meds you take so you don't overdose as some of these contain alcohol and drugs that should not be mixed with alcohol ..beer, booze, etc etc

I do. Helps me sleep, which in turn helps me heal.

However, if you are on any anti-biotics I would check the label about taking them with alcohol.
