Analgesic drugs such as Aspirin and Paracetamol.
Tea and Caffeine also help in relieving headache when taken in small, well-timed doses.
Try not to take medication for headache too much as a number of analgesic drugs that act to relieve headaches when taken as directed can actually make the headaches worse if overused. In this situation, overuse of headache medication (for example, more than three or four times per week) results in a type of chronic daily headache called drug rebound headache. The headache returns as each dose of medication wears off, prompting the individual to take another dose of medication. This results in a vicious cycle of headache-pain medicine-return of headache-more pain medicine-more headache.

Hey why always pop up some pill for it....v.bad for the body!!
then too if the headache is severe "disprin" is good n very fast acting medicine.Otherwise I'd suggest Acupressure...I personally do this many times.....press the the topmost n central point on your head if a measured from ear to ear for some seconds say 30 sec then release...again press with your forefinger ...do this 3-4 times n see your pain ease out without popping anything bitter!!!

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

An old fashioned remedy is to put your feet into bowl of fairly warm water - not too hot - the heat draws the ached from your head and by the time it gets down to your feet it will have diminished somewhat - this is not a joke, I learned this at a Health Retreat and it is an old fashioned naturopathic cure.

If it is migrain, take migranil or vasograin. if you have pounding pain both the sides, take mefanamic acid (Ponstan or meftal 500 mg alone or with paracetamol 500 mg) Remeber to take these kind of medicines after food only.
