2) There are more models to choose from

Plasma CONS:
1) They wear out faster than LCDs
2) They get hot under continued use

LCD PROS:
1) They are smaller (thinner) and lighter than plasma.
2) They last longer than plasma

LCD CONS:

Sony and Mitsubishi are the BEST BRANDS, followed by Hitachi and Toshiba.....

Sony LCDs --- Mitsubishi DLPs -- LG/ZENITH Plasma, then Samsung's Plasma

That's the list I would be using if I was shopping....If I couldn't afford the Sony, I'd step down to Mitsubishi, then LG/Zenith.

LCD technology is the most rugged, followed by DLP, and lastly Plasma....the only reason I would get Plasma is if I ABSOLUTELY must have it hanging on a wall......

And believe it or not....CRT Projection TV is the highest resolution out there....there are no pixels in a CRT projector, to limit it to 1920 x 1080....the only limit is the 6Mhz bandwidth of the TV signal !

They never tell you that......
