I love to be surrounded by old vintage things and antiques, sometimes I feel transported by them.

I am feeling a little bit of comfort, knowing that someone else out there has felt a "vibration"or maybe an "echo",perhaps, from inanimate objects. I feel like these objects find me, more so, than me looking for that object.
I believe that everything holds a piece of the place and living objects around it that has chemically bonded with it, which is not at all a far stretch, and to me, seems perfectly logical. I also have shared this occurrance with certain objects, throughout my whole life. I can even remember the first time that I realized that there may be some sort of bonding that takes place when people touch and encounter or even hold an item of any kind sentimentally or perhaps symbolically in their own mind. I was probably no more than six or seven years old, and was in the historical part of downtown Albuquerque, and just standing in an unpaved parking area, outside of the old shops and art studios. I just felt the need to reach under the earth right below my feet. I did not even consider why, just overwhelming feeling to find that thing under my feet. I lifted my shoe, and saw nothing, but, I knew that something was there. I knew that the thing was sending me pictures-or flashes of people and of places that I have never known. So, I had to rescue it from the earth and did not even consider how ridiculous I must have appeared to my mother and her friends next to, carring a conversation.
with just my fingernails and a nearby stick, I poked and scratched a small surface of land under me, and not but three of four inches into my archeological dig, did I find the object of my desire--a tiny gold bullet! My mom and her friends, already staring at what seems to be an unruly and now, filthy child, were in a total amazement at this discovery of mine. This tiny little bullet was like nothing they nor I had ever seen, before, and it was quite an enigma as to how old the thing was, or even if was meant for a gun, at all. I knew that it had, though, because "it" told me so. In fact, with each new inquisition of those around me and myself- the bullet seemed to transmit to me certain pictures and senses into my head, like I could smell its age because all of a sudden I saw the wood stove and smell the burning fire and the clothes steeped in water on top of it. So, I would guess around these images sent to me via my new found item and say outloud what I believed to answer best our questions of its existance.
This may sound alot creepier than it really is, because it happens to me often, and when I least expect it too. I also get these vibrations and imagery inside of old homes and even when I merely drive by them. Its like the chemicals and the heat we ommit onto everything we encounter, burns itself into the things around us.
One more little tid-bit of info that makes me feel like you have a valid understanding of these anomilees: my husband works for a company that would need an item such as this, a thermal laser camera, or something to that effect- anyway, it takes of picture of the heat and energy of everything, and with an almost unbelievable level of accuracy and sensitivity...anyways, he tried out this neat little machine to see how it works, and took the picture of the still ground (dirt) in front of him , then, took another picture of himself walking across it, followed by another after he had walked off of it. He said that it was such an intensly bright white and red color of heat from his foot print (with boots on, too!) on the ground that you could see the details of his foot in it!! But, the real kicker is when he came back twenty minutes later and took the same exact photo of the ground where he was before--and still saw his footprint there, fading and slowly lifting away- but, still there!!! The amount of heat in quick step onto the earth has that much effect on it after just twenty minutes- there must be something to an object or place that encounters the same person or people constantly and for any long amount of time--don't you agree?

Possibly a sense of history. I have been diving for ancient wrecks in the east Mediterranean where it all happened for the past 30 years. I have an intense feeling almost erotic when I touch an artifact or tool made by a human and used by other humans and realise that I'm the first human to touch it in 4000 years. It's a connection with the past the very remote past. It's like a turn on. You can get the same feeling with all sorts of 'obsessions'

Clean or polish away. You may get rid of fingerprints, but there is no such thing as "psychic imprints" Numerous blinded tests on "psychics" have shown that they are unable to identify objects belonging to a specific person any more than random guessing would allow.

It is called the "Hand me down" Syndrome. You probably had to wear an older brother's clothing as a kid and used things provide comfort. If you only had older sisters then you probably have other problems besides liking used things. I wouldn't say I feel transported. I like digging out a pre-civil war era trash pit and finding bottles, crocks, and clay pipes.I would say its more excitement and anticipation. The monetary value usually isn't greater than the historic value.

You are an old soul and can appreciate life through history and the articles that have been preserved and in some cases evolved from them.
