a new classmate and I were talking the second time on msn and he asked me if I want to have lunch with him sometime next week. is that asking me out? He did not say when exactly so I am not sure if he is. But I think he means it and not something casual to say to a friend. But I'm not sure

I am totally into him and I think he knows it

It's too fast. I am having a problem believing that he asked

Try not to get so caught up in labels. He asked you to lunch. That's it. You will eventually find out whether he likes you or not. So don't worry about it right now. Just go to lunch with him and relax. Get to know him. Be happy that you guys are hanging out. If you think too much about this he might sense it and that will make things awkward. Don't go psycho on him yet, you just met him :). And it's not too soon for him to ask you to lunch. He obviously likes your company and wants to get to know you better. And that is all you can deduct at this point. Just let things happen as they will.

as u said, its too fast. i thnik u should wait patiently for it. so that u dot hve a heartbreak later. u have met him just recently. try to find out whetehr u r really into him or is it just another passing infatuation. i think since u r interested in him u feel that he is really asking u out. why dont u wait till next week. if he si really asking u out he may give u soem obvious signs, wont he? he may ask u agin abt the lunch, try to find out whetehr u r free or not and many things like that. he may even tell u the day when he planning to invite u for the lunch, meanwhile plz dont start imagining things. it is an important thing in ur life and make sure u dont mess up things, in ur hurry. u r very much excited that he has invited u to lunch. plz dont let this happiness make u blind to other things. all the best to u.

First things first..He is expressing manners. Its a simple lunch invitation. If something else is cooking in your mind then its your problem. Be thoughtful before you get too excited on simple lunch invitations. Expect better things in life..This is plain friendliness. Some day another new friend may ask for lunch on the first day..then what will fall for that person too??

It is possible that he did ask you out. But in case that he didn't don't look to excited about the "date", but have an outfit ready for the big day.

Good luck, I hope you get your dream boy or man, I'm not sure, you didn't specified his age.

well yeah he did ask you out but since you two as you have mentioned that are just new, well probably he has some hesitations though on you being interested in him, too.

It is possible that he wants to cook for you at his pad. In which case he might have asked you "in" not out.

yeah..i think he really asked you out...but since both of you are still new to each other, i guess he's trying to figure out whether you are really interested in him...
