As you have the internet a site called www.topmarks.co.uk is realy useful for homework help (for all subjects). You tap in the year your child is in and topic and it searches for appropriate sites.

My eight year old has just finished a topic on the Egyptions and loved this. The regular search engines bring up great stuff, but far too hard for her to read. The sites on this are fun, interactive and educational plus she could be independant. She loved the games to play, and got house points for bringing the teacher some of the worksheets and print outs in.

Good luck,
PS the British Museum is fantastic and if you can get to it easily a must!!

I helped my grand son to find information for a project he was doing on Egyptian Mythology and he was really impressed by being able to write his name and every body else's in hieroglyphics. Log on to mythology.infomideast.com it is full of interesting themes and ideas including translation into hieroglyphics.
