These are all common products. Well I may not have specific "names" for all of them, but here are the uses:

Painted steel sheets:
For protection (against corrosion) and appearnce, but appearance is usually plain, more pratctical than decorative. Common in large construction materials.
(i.e. walls for warehouse building; contruction site fence)

Tinplate
Protective and not poisonous (i.e. cans)

Zinc plated steel sheets (galivanized.... many varieties)
For protection, but usually not appearnce. Used everywhere.... such as structural parts inside appliances and devices.
(i.e. desktop computer frame; printer chassis)

Plastic (PVC) coated steel sheets
For protection and appearnce - which can sometimes be colorful and decorative. Common in exterior boxes of appliance.
(i.e. computer box; video player box)

Number 2 is "tinplate" and used to be common for cans. Number 2 is "galvanized" and is common for exterior use to avoid corrosion. "Tin" roofs and siding, garbage cans, rain gutters.
