I use Orabase paste. I apply it with a q-tip right onto the sore. It coats the sore and I think it makes it heal faster and kills the pain by numbing it so that it doesn't hurt at all.

You can get it at some drugstores. It's different then the gel so be sure to use the paste if you can find it.

Mouth ulcers are caused by the Herpes Simplex 1 virus (different than genital herpes). Make an appt. with your Dr. and ask for an anti-herpetic drug such as Famvir or Zovirax. If the ulcers are on the lip there is also a cream to be applied topically. I have worked in a Drs. office for several years and I also get mouth ulcers. I use Famvir at the first sign of what I call a cold sore and it works great for me.

If it's not a serious ulcer, the best way to get rid of it and to get rid of the pain, is to grab a pinch of salt and put it on the ulcer.

swab bactidol or Orofar mouthwash on them. it hurts but it works fast. then take vitamin C everyday because it helps hasten the healing process and drink a lot of water, hydration will protect your ulcers from more injury.

mouth ulcers are either due to stress , vitamin deficiency or infiection.
if its herpes infection..which occurs due to swimmming in infected pools. they present with fever.

if they r due to stress and vitamin deficiency...
just stop spicy and hot foods for some days ...supplement with high does multvatimin capsules ..and ulcers vanish with 2 days without scars.

I use bonjela and rinse with salted water often. That seems to work for me.

Hi...you can try tea tree oil.Put some on a qtip and dab away.Worked for me!

Mouthwash and brush with HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, this kills the pain promptly and will start it heal it fast also.

You can try camphophenic on them and gargle with salt water.
