she goes to obedience training, has passed her (puppy award) knows all of the tricks that she needs to know, is taken out for 1 or 2 walks per days and no offence but a human baby and a puppy are not really the same...

We got a pup 3 weeks ago, she is almost 8 months now. Boy can I relate to you, she almost knocks us off our feet when she wants something (Staffie x Lab) She can when she wants do all the sit, stay lie downs etc but it seems to be when she want's to. She chews like any other dog (Spray with a horrible tase like vinigar) Be firm tell her no and ignore her for 1 min (1 min is a long time for a puppy)
She is testing you, as my dog is testing me... Let's just be sure WE both win other wise the rest of our lives with the dogs will be hell..

Okay if it was an 8 month old human baby what would you guess the problem was? Do you think your 8 month old human baby could do all those tricks even though they would have the superior brain. Sounds like it's your first dog ... be patient .... it'll learn just teach it right from wrong gently and patiently. If there is something in particular it keeps taking that you don't want it to, try spraying some lemon juice on it, they won't want it anymore.... the pet store has stuff you can spray on but it's expensive and lemon juice normally works. As far as the tricks.. that'll happen with practice but don't expect it to happen overnight .... try and look at some dog training websites ... I'm sure they will have good advice ... I have had animals all my life but never worried about tricks ... sorry...!

English springer spaniels need a HUGE amount of exercise. They are very intelligent dogs and can get bored easily. I would suggest plenty of long walks and some formalised training at puppy classes or obedience classes. This will also help you learn how to train her.

They also benefit from having an indoor crate or kennel to sleep in, it gives them somewhere secure thats theirs.

8 months old. Shes a puppy and puppies chew things up. As far as the "tricks" that takes patients & time.

It really sounds like she needs more excercise and a good level 1 obedience class. You can research online to learn about NILF (Nothing in life is free) and Clicker training. I would suggest finding the method more appealing to you and getting her started in a class. Just be patient and when she's acting up don't yell at her or tallk in an over-excited sounding voice as it will just make things worse.

Are you walking her? Playing with her outside so she gets enough exercise? It sounds like she is bored. Puppies need to play a lot.
