For years I used to get a really bad rash and feel short of breath when boozing. This only happened every now and then and wasn't anything to do with the quantity supped, i tried to find out for years what caused it and had loads of allergy tests. I now know (after resorting to writing down everything I ate/drank) that its chocolate!!! So if I scoff choccy then booze I get a reaction. Other than the obvious avoidance I find that taking a benadryl tablet prevents it happening!!! Which means I can now have a desert and a glass of wine.

Probably a reaction to sodium metabisuphate preservative. They certainly put it in wine, and it is known to create allergic reactions. It wouldn't be a reaction to yeast since that would have been filtered out. Drink cask or bottle conditioned real ale. This will not have been treated to give it a long shelf life.

Yes, especially with real ale. There are some lovely beers that I used to enjoy but now they don't agree with me at all. I have recently been told I have IBS so I put it down to that.
Some white wines affect me as well.
Luckily I can still enjoy my favourite: scrumpy!
If you are concerned the contact your doctor, but as it's only certain beers then I don't think you need worry too much.

You might have a wheat/gluten intollerance. My husband suffered stomach cramps and bloating after beer, he's now coeliac and cannot drink beer!!!!
