Labradors. Not only are they completely family-friendly, but they are extremely smart. They are used for drug, bomb, and seeing eye dogs. Just make sure you get one that wasn't raised on a puppy farm- and if at all possible, see the parents. Some Labs can be air-heads (thought its more common with Golden retreivers) and some have unusual behaviors. You also want to see the parents and papers because when they are puppies, some mutts can be passed off as full labs- and depending on the other parent, that could lead to problems.

My opinion is a Labrador retriever. They r friendly, gentle with children. But they r also the dog that u make them! I have 11 week old female chocolate .She is relax good with my 2 year old daughter.Although she likes 2 bite and play but when u tell her 2 behave she will stop.I suggest if u get a lab u get it @7to8 weeks old that way u can make the dog u want.U can make them anything u want them 2 b.I have owned many labs they need room and i also recommend a small child's pool because they r water dogs. They r the most dedicated dogs i have ever been around

I have two Labs. They will bark at someone when they see someone new, but they are also always wagging their tails. They have never met a person they didn't like or another dog for that matter. They also think they still weigh 5 lbs.( they are 95 and 100 lbs.) so they love to sit in anyone's lap. They are not fat, just big for their breed. They are a lot of fun.

for me, all dogs are friendly although some breeds really have aggressive temperaments...i think it all depends on how they've been bred...even Labradors may bite on people..its 1 responsibility to the owner to socialize them...some may bred the dog as a guard dog. of course they're intended to bite!...dog's temperament may vary on their breeds and also in their environment.its better if you read some books first on what breed you want to have. some dog's really needs a lot of out door activities. take a dog that will suit your life style so that you wont find a hard time when they're already grown up!...i hope i speak my mind out...Ã

I like Labradors, they are extremely cute, smart, kind, love playing...and eating.
They require space to run and have fun, so you'd better have a garden. It's not necessary to have a huge one, just some space is ok, but if it is too small, I suggest you to walk your dog out often. They are also good and nice dogs, in case you have children. You can choose between black, yellow and chocolate!

I also think Beagles, Setters and Jack Russels would be good.

It depends, if you want a dog with a lot of energy that you have to walk a lot, choose an English springer spaniel or boder collie(sheepdog), but if you want a low energy dog a west highland terrier is a great one to have, if you want a large dog then i suggest a golden retreiver but if you want a small dog then a jack russell or king charles spaniel or beagle =)

Labrador or Labridor mix, smart, friendly, they just want to play all the time, very defensive of their owners, and here's the best part, "They tolerate children very well", my little guy slaps my "Holly" all around the house, she's like "Oh, it's the get slapped in the head game", and runs around like a nut when he does it, she would never snap at him, just runs away, she would kill the Mail man though.

I have a beagle mix. We got her from the Humaine Society. She is very friendly, sometimes too friendly. She likes to go for walks and likes to play fetch, and she loves kids and the mailperson because they usually have a milkbone for her.

I like Yorkies because they are fun to play with and they are aware when mice are in the house and they were used to kill mice in England in the 1600's.But the best to get are the miniature version because they won't grow a lot of hair and they won't get big and Yorkies are aware when someone's coming and when someone rings the doorbell...Hope this helps...
