Don't you have a social group of other homeschooled kids? I know alot of kids who are homeschooled who do that. Don't you have some peers that you could try to get a date with? I don't think 17 is too young to want to date or have fun. Just don't take it too far like most kinds make the mistake of doing. I am a firm believer that kinds shouldn't even want a serious relationship until they are 21 that is a perfect age to start thinking about getting more serious and thinking about relationships down the line. You still have alot of growing to do, but aren't exactly a kid anymore and are starting to find out what you will want in life.
If nothing else maybe someone who you trust could help you out by setting you up on a date.

its not too young to worry about it, its a question of whether or not you're willing to do things.
As for the depression, most people need interaction with others to remain emotionally healthy, being homeschooled, you are deprived of alot of that interaction. Such as close friends, group activities and such like, some people are able to function fine under those circumstances, but they are a very small percentage of the population.
Its possible that your desire for a relationship is borne out of loneliness, or a means of escaping solitude. Before you jump for relationships, i'd advise you to mix around people a bit, and you may find the urge fading.
Elsewise if you find a boyfriend, and then start mixing around people, you may find that its not love you're after, its company. In which case there may well be some collateral damage to deal with.
Additionally, its good that you mix around and look around, and see what kind of guys are about, holding unrealistic expectations of a potential partner aren't going to be exactly healthy either.

I don't think anyone is too young to fall in love. I'm also kind of in a loww mood these past couple of months but I'm trying to overcome it by just thinking about what I can do to change what I don't like in my life right now, right now I'm seventeen too and ready to move out from my mom's, that is bringing a little more hope to my life. So you just try to hold on and look for things that can distract you from negative thoughts. There is a lot to see out there and you too will soon be able to see it

I don't know since you're almost 18. In my opinion, I say that its too young sice you're still stucying for your job course right? If you go for love already in a time like this, your future won't be that accurate.
