I am going to have reconstructive surgery done in Marina Del Ray. My nose is the subject so it will be really obvious. I have to spend 10+ days in the area and do not want to sit in my hotel room the whole time.

1. Am I going to get stared at a lot?
2. What is a good place (in MDR) to dine at alone?
3. What are some attractions or activities I could do alone that would be suitable for someone who just had facial surgery?

I do not think you will be stared at. This is the Marina you may be asked a lot who did the work and they may tell you who did theirs.
There are a lot of very nice restaurant along the Marina and Santa Monica areas that can accommodate lone diners. It depend on what kind of food you like.
But sweetie, is there anyone that can be with you while you have this done?
There is lots you can do in the area. Try renting a sail boat and learning the basics of sailing.

1. Am I going to get stared at a lot?
* i never had any facial surgery before but im sure the surgeon is gonna look at your face a lot and ofcourse people now know that if you have a bandage on your face,it is either you had a surgery or an accident...so,why think of what others have to say as long as your happy with the nose job, then,go girl!

2. What is a good place (in MDR) to dine at alone?
*boy,i wish i knew!

3. What are some attractions or activities I could do alone that would be suitable for someone who just had facial surgery?
*the best thing to do is to grab a good book and before you know it,your nose is healed before finishing the story!

In LA it is common for people to walk around with bandages on their nose, many people around here get nose jobs...so don' think people should stare at you much. You can go see movies, or hang at the beach

Beauty comes from the inside. What are your children going to say when they don't look a thing like you because they have your old nose. Plastic surgery ruins the reproductive cycle.

Nobody is going to care if you have bandages on your face. The other questions I don't know.

Second, don't dine alone, find someone to join you.
