I proposed to my wife on February 3, 2003. We got married April 12, 2003. We did not have a really fancy wedding, but I don't think it's necessary.
I had been engaged before, but after two years of the engagement, we ended the relationship. Thank goodness we never actually got married.

He propose on September 16th, 2006, and the wedding is on September 15th, 2007. So a year less a day! It was originally supposed to be an 11 month engagement, but we changed the date.

He proposed in Sept of 1998 and we got married in August of 2000, almost 2 years (23 months) later. We waited until he graduated college since he was going to school out of state.
The great thing about being engaged for 2 years is that we didn't have to rush any planning and we were able to pay for everything in CASH.

We got engaged Oct 24, 2005 and were married Jan 14, 2006. And no we were not expecting... we just didn't want to drag it out. We had a destination wedding (and it was very cheap!!!)and loved every second of it...especially the snow! That was over a year ago and everyday gets better and better!! We are very happily married!

My husband popped the question in May and we got married the following August. The only problem with this is you have to start planning right away in order to get your dress, invitations, caterers, and so on in line for your big day. I recommend waiting a little longer than that. Believe me it is stressful to plan that in such a short time. I did pull it off though and had a beautiful wedding. But, boy, was I ready for the honeymoon. We both needed the rest.

He proposed on New years Eve 2006 then a couple of weeks later we found out he was to be posted out in Cyprus (he's a soldier and we live in England) so we're getting married 5th August 2007 and i'm going to live with him in sunny Cyprus! We were going to get wed eventually it was just sooner than expected!
