Definitely not, Butter is Butter, margarine is - well, in my younger days we called it car grease, (it was a long time ago!) now I just call it Marg, and as it never comes when called, I stick to butter - apologies to all margarine lovers.

Never, butter is butter and could never be confused with margarine. I love butter on toast or in a sandwich, margarine is for cooking only in my house.
