There's a song by King Crimson where it starts out with a fugue-like duet with a Cello and a Violin. Anyone know what it is called?

I'm pretty sure that it is not from the album in the court of the crimson king.

And to the answer'r who asked if I am talking about the King Crimson group from the 60s...yes I am...and they're still a group that's still making albums...

It's not moonchild.

The song from what I heard progresses from the strings to a sudden drum solo or something...

To describe the strings more it was a bit syncopated...so was the drum (might of been bass drum).

Larks Tongue In Aspic part 1 I believe and possibly Easy Money both from th Larks Tongue In Aspic album.

By the way Greg Lake left the band after "In The Court Of The Crimson King" to form ELP and was replaced by Boz Burrell who left after "In The Wake Of Poseidon" to form Bad Company and was replaced by John Wetton who has been in every dang band in the genre and some others it seems.

IT has been a long time since I had that album. Yes, I am that old. I think it was called, " In The Cort of The Crimson King. " I could be wrong though. They had several that started out in a similar manner.
You are talking about the King Crimson Goup from the 60s right?

it cannot be from the "in the court", you must look for the following albums: Larks' tongues in Aspic, Starless and bible black, or Red, the violinist is David Cross and he used to play the viola and cello as well as the mellotron. I think you are talking about the song EXILES, or maybe Larks' tongues in aspic part one, in any case that King Crimson era is amazing, get the 3 CD's!! there's also a live album called USA.
