I was raised as a Catholic. I believe in God & in Jesus but I'm afraid I haven't been to Church in a while. I don't think you necessarily have to march off to church every Sunday to be spiritual (though my Mother would disagree! Ha ha). The closest I ever felt to God wasn't in a building (though St. Peter's in Rome was breathtaking & I nearly fainted at the beauty of Bernini's enormous & decadent Baldachin) it was standing on a cliff looking out over a sparkling lake & pine trees as far as the eye could see in Algonquin National Park (Ontario) and sitting alone on the dock at Long Lake, Muskoka watching the sun rise & scatter diamonds across the water, with fish jumping out of the water & birds chirping. I believe in beauty & goodness. I love nature. I create art & music. I am a spiritual person. I don't think it matters what religion you are, so long as you are a good person & make the most of your life.
Lately I've been looking into Scientology. I find it very interesting. I don't consider it a "religion" so much as a technology to allow you to harness your personal power. I read the texts as I would other self-help books. It's about positive thinking & living life to the fullest. Escaping pain & fear & finding happiness & fulfillment. Understanding yourself as a being. Understanding people & their motivations. Recognizing weaknesses & why they are there (trapped in pain from the past.) I know Tom Cruise takes a lot of flack but he's still a talented, handsome millionaire. He's just very passionate & outspoken. He has the courage to be who he is & not care what anyone thinks. Hey he put Scientology on the map for a lot of people. Love him or hate him he's a powerful character...The fact that so many famous successful people are Scientologists would seem to be proof that it works. Life is about survival, the more you have (in every sense) the better your chances of survival. Too many people succumb (to apathy, illness, addictions etc) to a slow death, they are not really living.
So what religion are you?
Will you choose the person you agree with as best answer? Feel free to choose me! Tee hee

Spiritualist.Though I don't consider that to be a religion.I consider a religion to be something based on dogma with scriptures, doctrines, and/or some other written texts that dictate how a person must worship and who they must worship. As a spiritualist I follow no specific religion and listen to only my own conscious when it comes to matters of spirituality.I don't need some guy in a black suit with some book telling me about some fantastical magical bearded man that created the world in 7 days or some such nonsense.

Ironically while it does not relate to a religion, atheism is a religion in itself. Agnostic Atheist, rather, and a kind one at that.

Christian.
But the Atheists seem to be on a lot around this hour. Pagans about three hours ago. Catholics an hour before that. Then for about two hours is the Muslim hour.
