If the members of a family have very good relationship with each other and they love each other, would we say they have a "hot family" or a "warm family"?

They are a close family with warm relationships, unless there is some hot incest going on.

In American English it would be more appropriate to say they are very warm or have warm feelings towards each other. Hot implies a level of sexuality. It would not do to say Mom was hot to her Son. It is also because in American English, hot is an indication of anger "I was so hot about the situation!!". You wouldn't want someone to think the parents or children were sexually attracted to each other, or very angry.

A warm family. A hot family would be one that got a bit closer than that.
