All rational people like the idea of world peace...but you should elaborate, explicitly, as to what is meant by "disregarding our belief system."

Everyone has a belief system. You may not believe in a particular 'religion', but that doesn't mean you don't have a belief system.....you absolutely do. Even being a 'non-believer' is a belief system. You can't go through life not believing in anything....that's no life at all. And disregarding belief systems is certainly no way to peace.

I feel that real peace will come when you learn to tolerate and accept all people REGARDLESS of their belief system, not by disregarding it. For peace to exist, you have to respect different opinions even though you may not agree / understand / like them.

im not sure what you mean.

it would be a n astounding feat of you could get everyon to disregard their beleif system in the name of peace. meaning that they dont let their religions get in the way of peace.

world wide peace would require people (i think) to disregard their beleif systems (meaning dropping them) in order to keep as much peace as possible.

i do beleive worldwide peace CAN be obtained...but not with religion constantly rearing its ugly head.
