She is about 10 weeks old, and likes to chew on things, I found a scar mark which is small, and not very severe, but I like to be on the safe side, I have bandaged it with a band aid, and run it under hot water, should I be afraid of naything getting infected?
She has been to the vet for a check up a few days ago, she has no diseases or anything, what should I do?

Tap her on the nose and tell her commandingly "NO!" the next time she bites you or even puts her teeth on your flesh... All you needed to do was was the wound... You're going to be fine, just keep it clean. Puppies play bite... dogs mouthes are like their hands... You just need to reinforce that biting isn't okay.

Keep her current on her shots!

Best Regards...

If she's current on her shots, the chances of you getting some weird disease are very slim. However, any time an animal--or a person, for that matter--bites you there's the chance of infection. I hope you washed the cut with soap and water right after. That will kill most germs. Use Neosporin or some other type of antibiotic ointment on it. See a doctor if you see redness or swelling around the cut, or if you start to run a low-grade fever. Those are signs of infection. I know this from personal experience--my little cat bit me last summer and within two days it was infected, despite my best efforts against it, and I had to take oral antibiotics. Good luck.

You shouldn't really be worried about Rabies, or diseases...puppies bred in captivity often do not have anything that is transferable to humans, however I would be very worried that she broke your skin at such a young age.

I would teach her not to bite, immediately. It's not good to let them mouth you while they play, because they will learn that the hand is a "toy". Once they learn that the hand is a "toy" it becomes chewable.

If they don't like the toy, they destroy it.

Do not play with a dog using your hands.

But, to answer your question, I really don't think there is a cause for concern, because I'm sure you vaccinated her and she's safe because of that.

All puppies need to be vaccinated around 6 weeks of age to 8 weeks, and then several times afterwards to boost the immunity to diseases.

Humans have antibodies, and I don't believe most canine diseases are transferable to humans, with the exception of Rabies.

Good luck.

I agree to wash the wound with soap and water, use a little neosporin and the next time your pup tries to play bite your hands redirect her to a toy to chew on instead. If she persists just get up and walk away. This will teach her that if she bites, you'll leave. It will help her to stop but she is a puppy and will need to chew... Just make sure you get her some safe chew toys. I've always liked the (non-edible) Nylabones.
