Well, maybe it's a toss up, but tow truck drivers suck worse than herpes.

They are not the best drivers when they will do anything to be the first on the scene and get that all mighty dollar. I have seen them cause many an accident. I would rank the bad ones with ambulance chasers...literally.

You must have just had a bad experience. The tow truck drivers here are wonderful giving men. A great addition to our community. A lady w/18mo old baby breaks down while travelling cross country, tow truck tows her vehicle from intersection @ hwy to motel, won't take her money because it was "just a few blocks" and he "was out anyway". Let's her know he will be back in the morning to get it fixed. He is pretty busy the next morning, but my hubby is off (he's a deputy) so he offers to get it repaired for her. It's an alternator-easy enough to fix, so my hubby makes a few calls, and 1 of the other tow truck companies has a totalled vehicle with same alternator, says "hey come on over and get it, no charge". 2nd towing co. picks her car up and takes it to his shop, again no charge, so my hubby will have an indoor place to fix it. She manages to get back on the road, and thanks to these 2 towing companies, the only money she is out is for her motel room and breakfast. They do this sort of thing all the time. "Your car's dead, hey i've got an abandoned car, been back there 10 yrs, but it ran fine when we picked it up. Don't know what it will take, but if you can get it running you can have it." 1 battery, a little gas and air in the tires and someone has a perfectly good car that has less than 40K miles on it." Those evil men, how DO they live with themselves. And around here, our towtrucks are dispatched to an accident on a rotation basis, fair and square, no fighting over calls. If the next rotation wrecker is busy and can't make a call, then he calls the next guy. Maybe I just live in a friendly community. but I've never had a problem with tow truck drivers -- even when I was in Dallas

tow truck drivers can be very nice sometimes. (read with acceleration) but--- not if they are out doing the evil work of the police who just called them to have your car towed at 3am on a saturday night just because you parked a few inches into the red and the people who live at the house where the curb is painted red called them saying that they couldn't get into their driveway but it was completely b.s. and they just want to be haters because THEY weren't invited to the party happening next door. aaaaahhhh!! okay, sorry, i'm projecting. yes, (sigh) they can definitely suck worse than either of the other two when they are being meanies.
