My personal favourites are Grimbergen Dubbel from Belgium, and the Urquell dark beer from the tap. (The way it is served in the restaurant in the Pilzen brewery is perfect)

There are several schools of thought on this often pondered question. The two prevailing and competing theories in the scientific world relating to what really is the best beer. Both have their merits and many backers, and as of this time I am on the fence, and can't decide which theory I support.

I will admit I am far too inexperienced to answer this question well. However:
Best overall beer I've tried: Tossup between the Oktoberfest and the Bad Moon Porter at a brewery called DuClaw in Maryland.
Best mass market beer: Sam Adams Pale Ale.
