To select a line:
Move the cursor at the beginning of the line by using UP, DOWN, RIGHT, LEFT keys. Hold the SHIFT key and press the END key.
Or move the cursor at the end of the line. Hold the SHIFT key and press HOME key...
To select a word:
Move the cursor at the beginning of a word. Hold the CTRL and SHIFT key. Press RIGHT Arrow key.
Alternately, move the cursor at the end of a word. Hold CTRL+SHIFT key. Press LEFT Arrow key...
To select a paragraph:
Again move the cursor at the beginning of a paragraph. Hold the CTRL and SHIFT key. Now press DOWN Arrow key.
Or, move the cursor at the end of a paragraph. Hold CTRL+SHIFT key. Now press UP Arrow key...
Hope this will help

Ok.
This could be tricky. Normal select text is hold down the shift key to highlith text, mustse arrow keys, end, home, ctrl,Alt combinations.
After highlighting use ctrl-c to copy, ctlr-x to cut, ctrl-v to patse. These are standard window shortcts. It is possible for these to be changed or limited by system admins.
Depending on how web page is coded you may not be loging at test but and iamage otr protected space.
In a pdf or other progrm diewer all the text may be protected.
Some programs have a select test feature.
Hope I helped.
