And how would i know what to do for each stage.
A friend of mine has been diagnosed with it. What can i do to help.

There's not really any stages sometimes when it flares up it generally lasts afew weeks to a couple of months, shorter if you have treatment(prednisolone in high doses given intravenously)sometimes after a flare-up you are back to normal or it can leave a bit of damage(weak leg or weak bladder etc)These days the new drugs on the market eg.betaferons work as in minimising the attacks therefore minimal damage.It can be very frightening so just being supportive is a big help.I think the fatigue is the biggest problem.The disease is as individual as the person.I think this is why there is no cure yet.But I do think it won't be long until there is.We can only hope.
