Don't get me wrong I love my man. But we twist ourselves up in such knots about and in the end it isn't really isn't worth it.

I think my point has been missed here. In agreat marriage there is doubts and hurt as well as love. We work towards love, we stress about love, but when we die it doesn't really matter. Why stress so much?

Yea, at least until you find the right mature one!! The thing is everyone is different so in a way we will always be hitting heads sometime or another. But when the right person comes along, you'll have the overwhelming feeling, and you'll want to make them happy. But in the meantime, don't hold your breathe, keep having fun-with a few downs. Just think, if everyone was like you, the world would be perfect huh? LOL!!

Love, in it's true meaning, is never a joke. It's what people mistakenly refer to it that makes it become a joke. What you and your guy may be experiencing is day to day reality which has gotten you two bogged down and twisting yourselves up so. These distractions have hampered your abilities to see your relationship in a true light the way you felt when you both first met. Perhaps what you both need is way for you two to reaffirm yourselves' feelings to each other. Still though, if after all the drama, the emotional turmoil, the ups and downs through thick and thin, if after all that has happened and been shared between you both, after everything is said and done; if after all that, you two are able to still want to be together then yes! It is worth it. Maybe the both of you can see some humor in all of it and, in the end, be able to laugh about it together.

I may not answer the way you hoped, but here's my take on the situation.
I like a guy and some old girl at work tells me he's just blowing my head up with big talk. Well she finally said it in front of him. He told her that I know what's going on between me and him. Basically, he told her to butt out.
I had feared she could have been right and he was just tripping and dragging me along. That would bring the joke part in. He straightened her out.

Love is how you take it , by myself Loving someone is not a Joke, it is something fun and serious at the same time , you enjoy the precence of the person you are with ....
But if you are just going , guy to guy and having a lot of fun , it can be said that is a "Joke" in a good way ...

It depends on what your perception of Love is. If love only means to roll around in the hay, then yeah it would not mean much to me at all. If your perception of Love is deeper then no it would not be a joking matter.
