1. How many whales currently live in the worlds oceans?
2. Which whales are hunted?
Those two would give me an idea of how much the person knows about the topic.
3. Do you disagree with whaling? (obvious yes to this from most)
4. Why do you disagree/agree with it?
5. Is whaling a topic you feel very strongly about?

It's difficult to really do a questionnaire as most people only know what they have read so no one will be able to tell you exactly what it is all about. I live in Japan and tried whale once but it didn't taste that good. It made me wonder why people kill them when chicken tastes better.

here are some out questions

1. what causes the killings of whales?
2. Are current killings beneficial in the long run?
3. Is it a right for us humans to kill just because of tradition?
4. SHould human intervention reduce whale populations be enforced if whales reach a certain population?
5. If current whaling killings are unsustainable due an exponential growth for demand, then why are they even still being practiced?
6. What are the key steps to reduce whaling?
7. Should the public have more power in influencing the vote to hunt for whales? if so, how would you change the voting system?

(based on the battle between japan and australia where Japan says they are killing whales for "scientific" purposes and bribed embassadors of poor countries they would get profit from the whale killings if they helped support whale killing.)

I wonder how they would feel if they got a harpoon shot inside them and have it tipped off with a grenade to explode in your guts after a few seconds. That sounds like a lot pain!!!!!!

Ask them if a US nuclear sub accidentally sank a whaling vessel, would they consider this good news or bad news.

It's one thing to take fish from the sea. Whales are intelligent mammals with elaborate vocabularies and social systems. Killing whales or dolphins is barbaric, and should be outlawed.

We humans make lousy gods.
