Maybe he feels upset because you are considering yourself as a distraction from him and whatever it is that he is doing and he likes you a lot so it makes him upset to think that you would say you will stay out of his way. He wants you in his way and you wants you as part of his life. I'm not that sure about my answer but hopefully it helps? Anyway good luck with him and can you read my question? I'm a young girl so you don't have to take my advice seriously if you don't find it's good! However trust me I've seen a situation like yours!
