1. It was at least five weeks, probably more.
2. Mine didn't start until I stopped breastfeeding six months later. My Mom told me she was jealous because hers came back after three months even though she was breastfeeding, too. It really can come back anytime after four or six weeks.
3. I don't know because I had a cesarean, but my friend that had one talked about a couple weeks at least for it to be more comfortable.

Well, everyone IS different, but for me I didn't stop bleeding until about 2 months after my son was born. With my first two kids, I didn't bleed that long, but I can't remember exactly when I stopped with them.
With all 3 of my kids, I didn't start having periods again until I stopped nursing them. After they stopped nursing, it took about a month and a half for me to start my cycles again.
I had an episiotomy with my first baby and OH MY GOSH that was painful! I had the hardest time walking around after the birth due to the stitches. I'm not sure when they finally fell out, but I was in pain for a few weeks. By the time I went to the drs for my 6 week checkup, they told me the stitches were out and I was completely healed up.
Hope I've helped!

I bled for about 6 weeks or so, although by then it was just occasional pinky-brown stuff. It can take a long time for everything to clear. Your cycle shouldn't start again for about a year or more if you are breastfeeding (wish I truly hope you are). Some women get it within a few months, but most commonly it's over a year, as the body has this amazing way of spacing children, through supressing ovulation while breastfeeding. That's how we're made!
Episiotomy? Ouch! I tore naturally and don't really remember when the stitches came out, but it healed up fine.
Good luck!

I stopped bleeding after about 2 1/2 weeks. I still had a little spotting for about another week after but very little. My cycle started about a month and half after having my baby even though I was breastfeeding. Maybe because I was on the pill. My cycle was very irregular before I had her, then it was like clockwork, now I'm back to having it every 3 months or so.

1) usually 2-6 weeks? if i remember right...
2) As soon as your body has readjusted to not having a little bundle of joy inside it, ovulation will kick right back in and your menstrual cycle will return. For some women, your first period after pregnancy happens only weeks after giving birth; for others, it takes months. Rest assured that even though pregnancy is a very complicated process, most women's bodies recover quickly and with impunity.
3) the stitches desolve after a few weeks, maybe even a little longer! They should be completely out by the time your 6 week mark it up!..:)
