What's your confusion? You're not happy, and your family doesn't like him. Why stay with him? Just because you've been together four years? That's not a reason. No reason to stay unless you have children together. Otherwise, get out.

Have the "talk" with him about how you feel and see how he reacts. If your not happy, this guy or the next will never make you happy, you have to make you happy. Not some dude. What you want is someone with whom you have things in common with the person. Enjoy being spending time with them, doing the same things, have similar interest are a plus. Good Luck.

Sounds all to familar! Its going to be hard either way you decide.Does he know how you feel.I say if yall arent living together then yall are just dating.Be careful though you may lose if by now you havent been able to come up with any ideas.Remember that relationships arent 50%/50% they are 100%/100%

it wouldn't be fair for both you and him to staying in an unloving relationship. If you feel you should move on, do it. 4 years is a long time, you guys should talk it over.

if you're not happy you need to move on. i know it's easier said than done but if you're not happy then it's not fair to you or him to drag it on.
