I had a problem where I had to pay a bill for my Aunt unexpectedly while she was on vacation. Long story short, I was house-sitting for her, problems came up with her pets, and I ended up paying $315.
It didn’t bother me that I had to pay $315 since I knew she can pay me back. What bothered me was that when I paid the bill the Checked bounced. The problem was that I did have a sufficient amount to pay off the bill. What had happened was when I added money to my account it cleared the day before the check got cleared. And for some reason, that caused a problem.
I called customer service and they told me something about how the payments got crossed or something, well she said it’s not my fault and she even refunded the fee that I was charged.
So far the bill that I paid went through, but now I am concerned about my Credit score. Does this affect me in any way?
Thanks for the support!

It will not affect your credit score. Things that are unresolved effect your credit score. So if you didn't pay a bill for 120 days or something you would be at risk of having that reported. You can check your credit report for free by going to www.annualcreditreport.com. This is not a gimmick or subscription site, but is a mandate of law to allow you one free one from each of the three major bureaus each year. Check it out!

It wouldn't affect your credit score, but you would be wise in getting this (bank's fault) in writing in case it ever pops up again.

It was a bank mistake. It shouldn't effect your credit score at all.
