So my best friend and i have been friends for about 2-3 years now and we've just discovered that we're falling for each other. Turns out he's had a secret thing for me since i've met him. Earlier, i hinted at him that i couldn't have a relationship because it wasn't a good time in my life. I want my degree and i want to be in a good place if i decide to be in one - esp. if he's the one i want to end up with. For him, he would hint that he liked me/relationship...then we switched ideas - i was thinking about being with him and he became worried about major priorities like bills, work, and finishing his degree. He finally talked to me and said that he never ever wants to hurt me...and that right now is not a good time for both of us. He said that if we were to ever go out, it would "worth it, lasting, long and serious" - rather than right now, it wouldn't be like that because of our schedules and we just want to grow up and experience life before we get into anything serious.........

Is he being real with me? I didn't think guys thought about this stuff - and he told me he was being honest with me - Does he care?
PS: I'm his best friend...and the girl he's always wanted...what does he mean that i'm "worth" it for him to wait?

I think he's not ready to commit to a relationship right now. When he's ready then he wants u to be that person. good luck
