I have heard of this before - I even knew a child that the parents would find him in the closet sleeping in the morning. Of course that was not too long after they took him out of his crib and they figured he missed the walls and harder surface of the crib. I would think it was just a phase and maybe they were sleeping in front of a heat vent that was particulary cozy.

I would be tempted to put my dancing with jojo mat right where they would step out so I could catch them in the act and tell them to stay in their beds. While that tickles me (the one who always seems to step on it while everyone is sleeping) that might not be the best solution.

Another idea would be to just let them sleep on the floor. I mean, put some extra blankets down or sleeping bags and everyone's happy, right?

Peace!

Leave them alone, they're fine. Just make sure there is nothing in their rooms that can harm them and put a child gate up in their doorway so they can't get out. It could be that they sleep walk or that they get up and play for awhile and fall asleep where they were playing. As long as they're sleeping it doesn't matter where they do it.

they must have sleepwalk...
or they must hav been carried away what was happening 2 their dreams....
these kids must hav good imagination....

you jaz leave them alone....
and try 2 check up a PEDIATRICIAN or a PSYCHIATRIST...

its okay 2 hav sleepwalks...
jaz close the doors....
and clean up the room....
so that there is nothing 2 harm the children...

u can also sleep w/ them...
so that they r secured...

as if u can change the cushion of the bed....
maybe they r uncomfortable....
that's why they find more satisfying to lie on the floor....

that's all...
gud luck...

=))

my nephew used to do the same thing. He found it more comfortable to sleep on a hard floor.

Maybe they are afraid of falling off the bed?

They might sleepwalk. My brother used to sleepwalk down the stairs when he was younger and end up sleeping on the couch. It scared my mom (she thought he might fall down the stairs someday) and it freaked babysitters out. He grew out of it though. My sister-in-laws son is 9 and he sleepwalks and ends up on the floor quite a bit.

bed rails that attach to the bed may help. And maybe a new mattress
