When you are eating healthy there is probably very little fat in it. When you eat junk food there is a lot of fat. Fat makes you feel full faster and longer than no fat does. This doesn't mean that you should eat a big mac, but add dressing to your salad, a few yolks to your omelette, real butter to your baked potato, etc. You don't need much but you do need some. (There are also nutrients that your body needs that are only fat soluble. Without fat your body can't get them)
(That's why a Lean Cuisine meal leaves me just as hungry 300 calories later, it doesn't have enough fat)
If you need a quick pick-me-up, a handful of nuts does the trick (nice fat/protein mix for energy and banishing hunger).
Hope this helps

Something with a little fat and a lot of protein will help keep you full for a long time. Something filled with fiber will help you feel full right away. Also, if you eat slowly and chew well, that will help you feel more satisfied.
How about:
pumpkin soup
4 oz. of baked chicken thigh
1/2 cup of broccoli
1 cup mixed salad with a little dressing and cheese
1/2 whole wheat roll or 1 slice whole wheat bread
baked or broiled eggplant with soy sauce
Agar-agar jelly for dessert.
Agar-agar is a kind of seaweed packed with fiber. Here's a quick recipe: Take 1 can of pineapple or mandarin oranges, and drain into a pot. Add powdered agar-agar (enough to "gell" 500 ml or 2 cups) and let it set for five minutes. In the meantime, puree the fruit in a blender. Bring the juice and agar-agar to a boil, let boil for two minutes. Stir in the pureed fruit, and pour into a mold (or leave in the pot). Chill or let set at room temperature. Should be ready in an hour or less. *very* filling. Very healthy, too.

Start your day with a fruit smoothy which you add ground flax meal too. Sprinkle it on your lunch salad as well. Have a tablespoon of flax oil 30 minutes prior to dinner.Flax it VERY good for you. It also expands in your stomach giving you that "full"feeling you are seeking.
