Ok, I know that wasn't really a well formated q., but I go to a small highschool, and the only sport program available is soccer. I happen to have been playing soccer since I could walk around, and I got on the team. There are around 30 boys in my class, and around 10 of them are on the boy's team. Im always a bit self-concious walking around the campus in my soccer gear when I'm getting ready for practice, and the guys who I normally hang out with are acting like its weird that some girl is so involved in sports.
I'm by no means a jock, I've never pretneded to be one, and I honestly have no idea why I've suddenly gotten the weird looks when I go out and play, but its kinda weirding me out and I don't know what to do.
It's not like I make it hard for them to talk to me or anything. I had been pretty close to most of these guys for the past couple of years...
Guys, is this normal for them to be almost ignoring me just because they know I'm on the team?

There is one other girl in my class who's on it too, and the guys I talk to never really talked to her too, so I don't even know if this is a universal thing that they do to all girls on the team or what.

I'm on the girls team! We don't even practice on the same field!
lol It's not like I run around kicking the ball up..their rear ends and show off. I honestly do my best to blend in, but not very many girls play..so eerhg! I have no idea!

maybe they all like u. chix who play sports r hot, ESPECIALLY soccer. Guys only ignore girls who r too butch, but usually soccer chicks have nice bodies. they might not even be ignoring u, u could just be a little paranoid :)

A guy looks at a girl in a soccer outfit and they see the outfit takes away from their shape! It is usually loose and not considered feminine, although there is nothing wrong with you playing soccer. Do they ever see you in anything besides that outfit; like a nice dress that is not too short? Your situation is not hard to figure; the guys do not see many like you into that sport! So you are somewhat odd to them. I would still play, and in time, that someone will come along! Meantime, have a blast in playing and do your best. Maybe you will get more attention by being the teams best player? God bless. Earl

Well a teenie asking a Q like this , GUYS in high school are BOYS .Look boys are pretty scared ,of you this is not a bad thing they arent mature yet and think youve got kodees , but your problem goes higher your a part of a boys team they may be resentful of that you might even be better than they are .this is only a problem if you let it be one Above all be yourself dont take a dive play show them up if you have to and watch the movie shes the man

Beats me all the girls that played soccer when I was in school were really cute, I am a sucker for uniforms I suppose my last played softball and always just looked good. She was good to, hits better than me thaats for sure. Maybe its just because they are afraid other will think they are giving you a hard time or hitting on you.
