It doesn't seem like something that would go bad very fast, but I accidentally left some remaining pasta in the pan for probably like 5 hours until now. Should I just toss it or is it salvageable?

Low fat, all grain it will be fine. Figure stay out time is about that of a slice of bread out of the bag providing it was not overly wet at the time.

I would give it the "toss" rating. This is not because its gone spoiled per se, but since pasta is made up of merely starch and water, once it dries up it is difficult to work with and generally doesn't taste nearly as good.

You can still use it. The only bad thing I've run across in pasta that's sat out that long is some unpleasant crunchiness when it dries out.

If it was in the pan, but covered then you should be alright. If it was uncovered, it'll probably still be ok, just a little chewy.

I'd still eat it, I think it would be safe. But it's pasta, why bother.
