I'm used to feeling needed. When my mother was alive I was needed for support and then I found a church that had house meetings and everything was going well. I was able to serve at both places but now everything is gone. My mother died recently and the small church that was forming broke up. I no longer have a place to go or a place where my services are needed. I have served at various times as a BTC teacher, a church counselor, and I'm a poet, and I've written advertising copy and pamphlets as well as blogs. I'm also a good cook and a good listener.

Where do I go and what do I do to feel needed again ?

Try unitarian church. They believe in Jesus but reject divinity of Jesus.

I say PRAY, PRAY, PRAY. Ask the Lord to help you to know where to go. I enjoy going to different types of churches and often I will see if they have a website. I check them out on the website, find out their service times and pick a time and just go. Sit where ever you want and just observe. You can learn a lot by doing this. See how active they are in their community. What ministries do they have that maybe you'd be interested in becoming involved in? If it's a big church, do they have ways for you to become involved in a "small group" which would be much like the house meetings I'm sure you were used to attending.
Take your time and enjoy just getting to know what's out there and available to you. Blessings to you on your search!

I honestly don,t know, however, I am compelled to thank you for being a beautiful person.

I would find a church close by, you will be able to do more, if you do not have to travel to far. Whatever church you end up with, I would recommend that you search for the truth on your own and not rely on others to show you the way.

You are needed here!

Can you use this? My gift to you: "the more truth you know the more truth you are"

God bless your already beautiful heart.

Peace............

Oh,I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. It's really hard losing a parent.
It sounds like you would be a great person to have at church.Do you know of any other home churches? If you don't,maybe you should look around at normal churches in your area, and pick one that you'd like to attend.Maybe talk to them about your experience as a counsellor and teacher. They might also have a charity program going. For example,my aunt's church runs an op-shop.You could help there.
If not,you could look into volunteering at another community program. One of the things I did was to volunteer at a nursing home, where I visited with the people and helped out a bit.Another place to help out would be a hospital. You could visit the patients,be company for them. You could also help out at the hospital chapel,if there is one. Many of the visitors to the hospital need someone to talk to,or to pray with.

Are you going to church to thrill human beings or to serve God? in case you have been quite crammed with the Spirit and worshipped interior the Spirit in that Church means that God is honoring what's being finished, so the factor is did this come of your individual attitude or did God inform you to flow away that church. you notice once you flow to Church you will serve God with all your heart concepts soul and potential and not adult adult males. in case you at the instant are not allowed to fulfill what God has called you to try this must be diverse. yet that's no longer what you're using as a controversy. Who is customary with of maybe God has sent you to the Church to wake them up and leaving it you will not be doing what the Spirit is calling you to do.

Jesus told his apostles to beg the master of the harvest to send out workers into the field. The harvest time is drawing close to an end and there are still many right hearted ones who need to be gathered into God's loving care. If your heart condition is right for this, I would look for a Kingdom Hall in your area, start a Bible study and help in this wonderful work which will never again be repeated. It is so fulfilling and you will be blessed beyond compare.

hello! It is going to be very difficult to give you a sufficient answer, but I know of a church that is very service oriented, and could completely use your Christlike hands! Its called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I am a member of it, as is my family and many of my friends. In this church, you wouldn't have to worry about it breaking up, because it has congregations throughout the entire world, in nearly every country, and the doctrine is exactly the same in every congregation, regardless of teh culture, or language. It is absolutely amazing! There is alot of literature against my church, and you may have already heard of it. I can't tell you how much I know it is true though. We believe that Christ was the son of God and came to earth to save mankind from the fall and sin, and that because of his mercy and love, we can return to our Father who is in heaven. We believe that families are central to the Lords plan, and that they literally last forever...that you will be with your mother again, and she will be made perfect and whole, no more sickness. Oh i just wish i could tell you everything, but it simply isn't possible in this short amount of space.

We believe the Bible to be the word of God as long as it is translated correctly, but his servants, we read from the king James version. We also have another book, the Book of Mormon. It is not against the bible, but rather another testament that Jesus Christ was, and is, and always will be. In the bible when christ explains "other sheep I have which are not of this fold, them too must I visit", we believe he was referring to his followers in other lands, specifically in the america's. The book of mormon is a record of those people, and the visit that christ made to him after he was resurrected from the dead. It sounds overwhelming, but if you only consider the love of Christ that he had for his people, then it only makes sense that he would visit His follower all over the world...the "other sheep" which were not of the fold in jerusalem.

Please consider this, it may be the answer to what you are looking for.

Visit the sight www.lds.org, it is the churches website and will help you learn more, and also find how to come into contact with people in your area that can tell you more.

I am so thrilled that you may find what you are looking for, and hope that you will give it a try.

If you ever have any questions, please email me and i will be happy to help you find the answers and come into contact with other people who can too.

Jesus is the Christ, he lived and died that we might be made clean. There truly is his restored gospel on the earth. We are instruments in his hands to bring His love to all those on earth.
God Bless you!

~Carli

Keep looking around. Visit churches. You'll find a place to click.
I like your attitude of going to serve. Many people come through the doors asking only what can this church give me.

btw you were asking about my story and I didn't know how to get it to you. Check out this blog and if you care to, let me know what you think.

Who says that you're not needed? Do you have family? Surely someone depends on you in some way?

I can't answer what church would be "right" for you (I could give you my opinion, but that is what it would be). However, there are other ways of being "needed". Retirement homes, VA Hospitals, soup kitchens, all of these need volunteers. And what better way to witness to someone!

Sounds like you are posting a resume to attract a husband or wife, depending on your 'inclination! :)

Consider asking some of the members of the church you attended, some may have already found a new 'home' that you might try out.

Pray and ask God. He is always faithful to lead you. He has a place where you fit in perfectly, where your talents and giftings will be used and you will be ministered to as well.
