Seperate them now. This may not be easy and dogs can get very "strange" during this time. They are both strong dogs and will try to get together if not already.

The cycle is about 3 weeks long. She is in second phase and normally will start being very interested in him as the bleeding lessens. No set rules on that. And they can get very sneaky.

If you do not plan to breed then she can be spayed as soon as the cycle is over. Be best to find a place for the male for about 7-10 days, maybe at a friends. Once he gets interested he could be a problem, even if normally a sweetheart. It's that Mother Nature thing going on!! Hard as heck to seperate and possibly a bit dangerous. Not because they are pits. Any dogs can get unruly toward someone trying to interfer. Even a person they love. Hormones take over their minds!!

Make seperation arrangements this weekend. Please spay and neuter. Pits are being banned all across the US. There are so many being put down every day simply because they are pits. Rescues have more pits than homes. Please don't make more!

She'll bleed for two weeks, but can get pregnant for about 4-5 weeks, but sometimes even longer.

Please spay her A.S.A.P. Most people are growing weary of seeing cute little puppies being put to sleep in shelters or unwanted dogs being hit by cars or shot.

If you can't afford to spay the dog, give her to a family that can. Because if you can't spay her, then you most certainly can't afford to raise up 4-12 puppies and spay/neuter all of them too.

Please be a responsible dog owner, not a backyard breeder. You can't possibly watch a dog 24/7 and make sure they don't mate. However, you can take her to the vet and remove the possibility of having puppies.

Too late, now you're really gonna have a mess on your hands. You should have all your pets spayed/neutered as soon as you get them/as soon as they are old enough. I also have to say, I don't approve of keeping two pits together unsupervised (which I'm sure is going on here). As a pit owner, my female was fixed before her 1st heat, and is never left unattended with other animals...no matter what your pup's disposition is, it's a special rule of the breed that has to be observed.

Depends on when she started her heat cycle. Most dogs will be in heat for about 3 weeks or so, it can differ as every individual is different. On average, allow 1 week going into heat, 1 week during, and 1 week going out. Typically she will allow males to mate with her during the second part of heat, starting the second week.

Nothing is written in stone, so I would keep them seperate for at least 3 weeks when you cannot keep an eye on them.

She is in heat. She will breed right now if she is with another male dog. Get them separated unless you want a whole bunch of little bulls. Good Luck!!

You need to separate them NOW.

Your male is old enough to be fixed. Do so ASAP.

Call the vet and ask when you can get the female fixed. 1 unfixed female + 1 unfixed male + 1 undereducated owner = 8 homeless puppies in 63 days.

Is she bleeding everywhere, through fact my dogs did no longer tutor; she saved herself and her domestic dogs sparkling. She's no longer a pit yet she has the dimensions and physique tone of the small ones. and he or she's recommend to her fence mate that's a male, chow mixture that sounds like a puppy lab. anyhow my dogs had 6 domestic dogs, 4 died previously the age of 6 months and the different 2 are unknown.

have her spray as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the higher health problem she can get when she gets older. If you aren't going to breed the dog, there will be a lot of things you need to do if not spraying your dog. She can bleed all over the funiture and you need to buy her a pants and female pad for her period.

You had better separate them immediately. She will be fertile starting the third day of her show. He will bite you if you try to separate them when he gets breeding in his tiny pit bull mind. Spay her asap and talk to a vet about it now because they have a spay waiting list.
