You could call him Jasper since the jasper stone usually has a mottled brown- or reddish-grey appearance.
You may also want to check out the following site for info on malamute and wolf hybrids:

We just went through this with our little pup. We had a hard time. The little girl pup we figured out in minutes. It took us a week to get a boy name. There is a web site that gives you puppy names. Type in puppy names in the search bar and you will find it. It helped. Our little girl is KaDee and our little boy finally we named KoDee. That was tough huh! We thought of everything until we saw this on the web site.
Good luck and enjoy the new little guy (little for now)!

I always give myself and the critter some time to get to know each other. It's amazing what you'll learn about him that may affect his name. His personality, his appearance
edit: but if you are in a hurry, MAXIMUM (, Max for short) sounds like it might fit

Its all about his personality! I had a malamute mix once that we named Mukluk, I thought it was fitting, (its Inuit for snowboot, I am told) and I thought it was really cute. Get to know him and let a name come to you!

Jasper. Or Brutus. Or Maximus. Cornelius Max sounds good, too.
