___Parents don't raise their kids with any respect for people or property anymore and then the parents say their kids are out of control because of video games and violent movies!... Kids are crap now because their parents were raised the same way, by crappy parents and it will only get worse!!!____________ ____________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ____________________ _______________ _______________________

Glad you asked this question! I hate gum, and my kids are not allowed it. It looks disgusting watching someone chewing - see Sir Alex on match day! And when kids leave gum on bus seats for you to sit on in your decent clothes, then that is the dregs.
In Nottingham, people complained about pigeon droppings everywhere. But most of it was chewing gum. Pigeon sh*t washes away in the rain, gum doesn't. Same with butt-ends, which are bio-degradable.
I rate it more anti-social than smoking. And if Mr Blair is reading this, then there will be a massive tax on chewing gum in the morning.

I have decided to respond in a poem, I hope you like it:
Everywhere you look there is junk, Bits of cars, chewing gum, cigarettes.
The world is becoming a real mess! But does anyone care or get distressed, No because they think that there the best because they dump the mess!
I am it's discusting, it is under all tables in school!

I agree, it's awful. Chewing gum is the worst, because it sticks to the bottom of your shoes (and forget it if it's heated by the sun first- you'll be dragging strings of gum around for 5 minutes straight.)
I was always taught to place it in a tissue or piece of paper and dispose of it properly. People can be such pigs.

I do so agree with you.
I've just been watching a kids tv programme whilst channel hopping and saw a young female presenter go to use a pen and she took the top off and threw it on the floor.
What kind of example is that for young, impressionable children?
I've been to Singapore and the penalties there for dropping anything in the street is extremely severe. I didn't see a SINGLE piece of litter in the three days I was there.

I hate chewing gum. It tastes good, in moderation. I know a woman that CONSTANTLY chews gum. I hate those Americans that throw their gum on the floor and make it disgusting for everyone else to walk on. This is inexcusable.

Sounds more to me like youre looking for something to be fed up about. Gum never stops me from going from one place to another. Neither do cigarette butts for that matter.

I hear you. Haven't they banned gum from around the Statue of Liberty because it made such a mess. It should be banned from everywhere!
