I think they meant Sundaes (as in the ice cream).
Like strawberries, some strawberries are all mushy and tastes rotten (I don't like mushy strawberries)
The only thing I would put on sundaes is banana, or canned blueberries or strawberries in heavy syrup. Sometimes I just only use the hot fudge. But I wouldn't reccoment rotten fruit at all to eat, unless its super ripe such as bananas where I would use it only in making banana bead. Rotten fruit is not safe.

yeah, i bust out the rotten purple bananas and blue fuzzy strawberries. ANd who could forget the black apples? I heart rotten fruit.
