Mala, Your visiting with an enormous OUTLAW fan. Two yrs. ago a buddy and myself traveled 570 miles to Eldora Speedway to see em. You think Bristol Motor speedway is the fastest half mile in the world? Guess what type of car has the record, a "SPRINT CAR". At Eldora I'm pretty sure it was Joie Saldana who went 151 mph. to grab the pole in the 2005 Kings Royal. In the feature on the final night it was a dog fight between Saldana and Steve Kinser. Saldana lead all but the last dozen laps when Kinser did a slide job in one and two. You've got to see this place. In the middle of a farming community a huge bowl was created by Earl Baltes and in the Spring of 05 it was purchased by Tony Stewart. My next goal is Knoxville. The best of the best race there. Since I live in upstate NY I see them at Rolling Wheels, Lebanon Valley and Williams Grove Speedway south of Harrisburg PA.. Actually the grove has the best clay I've ever seen orange / red and tons of traction. It's not unusual to see the right front lift a foot of the ground in the chutes. The PA. Possy usually gives them their stiffest compition of any where in America. Fast Freddy Rahmer and Donny Shotz put on racing clinics. I don't expect they will ever be as popular as NASCAR. because there are too many dusty poorly maintained racetracks. Personally I see a better show watching the Outlaws. I don't feel as if I'm constantly being robbed at the racetrack.
