Smoking. (But don't. Stupid idea. When you try to get life insurance later they'll ask if you've EVER smoked. Etc.)

Joining the military.

Singing contracts and being bound by them. (Before age 18 you could "void" a contract if it turned out not to be what you really wanted. After 18 you're stuck if you just make a bad deal, unless there was actual fraud or something.)

Buying lottery tickets possibly (check rules in your state).

Driving with a non-restricted license possibly (check rules in your state).

Going to college. (Age 18 is not mandatory but it certainly is typical).

At 18 I would say freedom it's not a new thing it's the best thing also the chance to own a house and to become one with one's self.

you can gamble, buy cigarettes for your 16 year old friends, scope out porn, vote and graduate high school. oh yeah! go to the bars.
