My friend was in a bad car accident, and had to have hip surgery. He is suppose to stay off his leg, so he needs a wheelchair. And know he does not have health insurance, so we need a chair practically free, and help please would be greatly appreciated

You should try wheelchair repair places, thrift shops, churches, you can even look in the newspaper!!!

Try freecycle.com. You can ask for a wheelchair and if anyone in the freecycle community has one, they can respond to your request.

I'm not sure if that's out of your price range or not but it's the cheapest I could find of that kind. I was searching for one for my grandmother. Also, if you talk with his doctor they should be able to tell you where you can rent one for pretty cheap prices considering he isn't needing one for permanent use.

Craigslist. They have everything and if you look under "free" stuff you should be able to find one for free.
