If you want to print 4X6 prints, I would suggest any
Canon Selphy model....

They look real professional and will cost you about 25 cent a print..

For 4x6 prints, I use an Epson Picturemate. The paper and ink come packaged in a 100 pix bundle, HOWEVER the ink will last much longer than 100 sheets. So I always buy another pack of paper and print until the photos start to look bad. Then change ink.

For larger prints, I use Epson and Canon. The Epson continually needs the print heads cleaned, which is a pain as well as expensive in terms of ink usage. The Canon is much better in that respect. Both printers put out great prints on profiled paper. I find myself using the Canon more often. They all have card slots for direct printing. (I always print through the computer, unless I take the Picturemate on location.)

Good luck!

I'm on my second Epson. I bought my current printer, an Epson Stylus Photo R1800 a year ago...and the quality of the glossy prints is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

I've recommended this model to my best photographer friends, who've bought them.

I don't think you will can go wrong, if you buy this printer!

If you purchase it, be sure to go to Epson's website and download color profiles for the specific papers you plan to use. If you calibrate your monitor, and use the proper color management workflow, the colors between monitor and print are identical!

I hope this helps you!
