You can use koolade, the kind with no sugar. Just mix a little water with one of the packets, and apply it to the fur. Try not to get it on his/her skin.

You've had alot of answers so you may not need mine but I have groomed dogs for 15 years so thought I could help. Kool-aid is an excellent option. It is not permanent or toxic so you can try all kinds of things! The only time you would want to use something permanent is if you are in a grooming competition and have experiance with hair color. If you just want to have a little fun then go with the Kool-aid, it will wash out and won't burn the skin.

You could also use Blow Pens (the kids kind at the craft stores)
I use them when I do stencils on my dog. Little easier to use than the kool aid/food coloring may be, as those may run.
I usually just use the kool aid/food coloring when I am covering large areas or the whole dog, but for small things, I use blow pens. Also washes out easier.

Why for crying out loud...they don't have spots normally. Unless you are doing a prank and if it were my dog I'd me furious.
I've seen people do a green dog for St. Pats, but I think they use kool-aide...not food coloring.
Good luck....send pictures so we know what the poor thing looks like when you get done.

i'm questioning approximately loss of life the recommendations of my Malti-Poo's hair with nutrition dye. i'm uncertain if it is going to paintings or no longer. in spite of the undeniable fact that it won't harm it. basically dye slightly hair with the colour and spot what works out.

I've seen that on dogs and I think its ADORABLE. Take your pet to a groomer. They'll do it right. You won't do it right (no disrespect).
