I never think it's too old to learn how to sing.

I don't think so. Mind you, the age of the body will be reflected in the sound of the voice, you can't have one without the other.
A friend of mine, many years ago, was diagnosed as having tuberculosis. In addition to the medication she received, her doctor advised her to do some sort of sport that would get the air circulating through her system more efficiently. She had always wanted to sing, and asked if that would be appropriate. The doctor was nonplussed at first, but decided it couldn't hurt, and so she started singing lessons. At the age of 55.
It wasn't the world's most beautiful voice, but she was happy. It helped strengthen her lungs to throw off the disease, and when she joined a chorus, she wound up going on tour with them and singing for the royal family in Spain. Not a shabby success story!
Please take the time and investigate carefully. your time and energy are more precious to you now, and you deserve absolutely the best teacher you can find/afford. (The expensive ones are not always top drawer, but they think they are, or that's how they pay the rent) Check with your local college or university, perhaps they have some hints. Be leery of people who promise you the moon, or ranges of 5 and a half octaves or anything over the top. Best of all, look for someone whose "chemistry" matches yours. You'll learn faster.
Best wishes, and keep on singing!

No, I think if it is something you want to do you can find someone who will work with you and you should be able to improve. Now, you are going to sound your age. Younger voices are more easily trainable, more flexible, etc. Age shows, especially in female voices. If you are looking for a career in singing (classical or pop), age will definitely be a big factor. However, I believe anyone can improve with good training. They may not ever be the best singer in the world or have the greatest voice, but they most certainly can improve if they have the will and desire to.

You can't be too old to learn singing because singing is a art & to be an artist it is never too late.

I think it depends on what condition your voice is in. I could train someone who's 19 but doesn't have a natural ability and has vocal damage and I might get them to sing a little easier or I could train a 50 year old who has a great natural instrument and no damage and they might somehow find a career....it's a weird thing....this voice.

No! You're never too old to try or learn something new... Now, keep in mind that maybe you're not going to sound like a 20 year old professional signer might- but anyone can take lessons! = D
