I just joined track (sprinting) and I am starting to get muscle on my thighs. However, how do you get rid of the fat on your thighs while gaining the muscle, so that you don't look even bigger than before?

Overtime the fat will start going away. Muscle burns fat, so just keep exerscising, you might want to cut down on the weights a bit and concentrate on long distance fat burning exersices if it is a big concern for you. Don't worry about the fat what you are doing is great especially for your mind and heart.

Oh goodness!

Sprinting, helps but build muscle on thigh.

You should try jogging!!! It burns out fats at same time not building up muscle babe!

From one sprinter to another... the fat starts going away gradually, but completely? Not really... for me, the satisfaction comes from knowing my thighs aren't big from flabby and grossness, but big and rock hard, and I love that! You should grow to appreciate them more, and your acceptance will come with results. Conditioning can also help those problem areas if you're still worried about it.

You need the fat as lubricant in the muscle . the more you work out the fat will dissolve.

I think that will take care of itself if you don't eat crazy. I love the legs on women who run track.
