I did a flip on a bar pressing my stomach on the bar....I may be pregnant (would be only 2 weeks if I am). Could this have hurt my baby? I am really worried, and what should I not be doing during this "waiting period"??? Honest, polite answers only please! Thanks!

no. The baby is cushioned. I am pregnant with number two and my kid is always hugging me and bumpin my stomach. I slipped and fell on the ice at fourteen weeks and it was fine. The scary one was when I was 4 months and I layed on the washer on my tummy to reach over the side to pick up something I dropped behind it. Well, when I turned on my side my uterus squished and I felt the baby shoot over to my left side and WAY over where the uterus is not supposed to be. The uterus and baby where WAY over from where they shoudl be and i felt the baby's size as he was squished. I jumped up and was so scared. I woke him up to, cause he was a kicking after that. I am now 23 weeks and he is fine, The ultrasound was perfect. He is a boy! and he kicks alot... still mad at me I think for laying on him... lol.

Chances are that it would not hurt the baby. This is because at this stage, the baby is really only a group of cells. At most, it could be a small fetus. Think of the baby as being smaller than your fist right now. All the muscles and fat (I'm NOT calling you fat) in your abdomen are meant to protect the child. Since the child is so small now, chances are that the bar never even touched it! For the child, it probably felt like a tap. Don't worry too much because worry can add stress to the baby and no amount of muscle or fat can protect the baby from that! Congratulations and good luck!

Your baby, if you are pregnant, is really small and protected in a sack of fluid. Probably, you are fine. If you start spotting, call the doctor. Some people continue their exercise schedule but I would not start jogging if that was not what you do every day. Look at your family history. Did your mom have problems? It doesn't mean you will but it might help you to decide what might be good for you. Just be sensible. Ask your doctor what he/she thinks. Walking is always good. If you did not walk before, start slow and wear good shoes. If your back starts bothering you, you may need different shoes or need to cut back in the length of the walk. Definitely do not do any more flips on the bar anymore! Take care.

Unless you're unhealthily (heroin-chic) skinny (and you probably couldn't concieve if you were), you're fine. There are many layers of padding between your baby and the outside world- amniotic fluid, uterine muscle, abdominal muscle, and that little pad of fat often referred to as the "pooch." All these layers are designed to protect babies from the bumps and bangs that life sometimes deals.

Many women fall down in the last trimester, often belly first, because of balance changes and being unable to see their feet. Are they embarrassed? Yes. Are their babies just fine? YES. Your baby is smaller than a lima bean about now, so there's even more protection.

Relax, and enjoy the playground while you can!

You probably didn't hurt anything, if u r pregnant but just be extra careful till u find out for sure. I used to ride my bycicle to work in the city everyday but when I found out I was pregnant at 7 weeks I stopped that. Just didn't want to take the extra risk. Also I told my office I didn't want to travel anymore for work ( I used to fly around a lot.) I still took two or three trips till my 6th month but they were not work related so no stress. More importantly.. are you taking prenatal vitamines? Folic acid? v. important for the fetus and you should take them if you are trying to conceive. best of luck

probably not because at this point they are cells and not an embryo yet! But I would check with a doctor to see if in fact your pregnant. Good luck!
