My baby loves sweet potatoes and they are so good for her, unfortunately, they stain everything they get on, including her clothes, bibs, my clothes, towels that have been used to wipe her face (even the rubber coating on her spoons!!!). My normal laundry stain remover that works for EVERYTHING else (a product called 'Kids & Pets') doesnt even touch these stains. Ugh, frustrating, everything is getting orange splotches on it!!! Has anyone had any luck getting sweet potato baby food stains out? I would love some help!! Thanks

Whether your eating candied yams or sweet potatoe casserole, clothing stained with the rust colored potato can be hard to restore.
Stain Removal Step 1.
Remove as much of the excess sweet potato as possible from the fabric.
Stain Removal Step 2.
Run cold water through the back of the stain as quickly as possible. This will force the stain back out through the fabric.
Stain Removal Step 3.
Rub a liquid detergent into the stained portion of the fabric. Work it in gently.
Stain Removal Step 4.
If the garment is white, or you have tested it for colorfastness, apply a mild bleaching agent like hydrogen peroxide or white vinegar with a sponge. You can also use lemon juice on white fabrics. Rinse well.
Stain Removal Step 5.
Repeat with the detergent followed by mild bleaching agent until the stain no longer appears.
Stain Removal Step 6.
Apply a stain remover stick, gel, or spray and allow it to sit for at least 5 minutes.
Stain Removal Step 7.
Launder with detergent. Before drying double check the stain.
Stain Removal Step 8.
If the stain remains, rub detergent into the stain and soak in warm water for 30 minutes. Rinse well.
Stain Removal Step 9.
If the stain remains apply stain remover stick, gel, or spray and wash according to directions
cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing that has every works on the stains in my son's clothes is Spray and Wash. I was really shocked by this because I had tried everything else and I really didn't think this was such a good product, but for some reason it works.

The simplest, best product to use (spray the stain whether 1 minute or 1 month old and throw in washer) is Pre-Wash from Amway. I think the website is Access Business Group.

There is a bar of soap in the grociery stores called "phelsnaptha" its in the bar soap section in a white package with dark green and red writhing on it, and costs about a dollar. you rub it on the wet cloth and then rub the cloth together for a min, and then rinse and its gone! Its the best stuff Ive ever used! let it soak for a while if necessary. rub as much as you can without damaging the faric. it really works great!!
