You can go for upgrade, but of course you still have to pay but a lot less than full version.

yes definitely u have to pay if u want the original windows vista OS,but the MS it self has given an option to the users for free trail,by providing the Transformation Packs of the Windows Vista. It is free of cost and u can install it on the XP or other versions and can test it.

first of all, mister henry... it's not a Windows Vista. it's an operating system called Windows Vista. so you want an operating system for free, huh? unless you're an extremely good hacker, you're going to have to pay just like everyone else. you will also be violating a little something, namely, software ethics. when and if you do happen to commit this crime... there will be a hefty price tag that may haunt you for the rest of your life. you can not only pay upwards of $10,000 to $1,000,000, but spend some time hopefully not dropping the soap in jail. i think it's close to 6 years, or some odd amount of years in jail. if i were you, i would get apple's OSX. it's simply more... simplistic. =)

yes...the trial mode shld be free...but some websites offer free windows vista but r probably illegal

yes you do have to pay for it ok. unless you get it at microsoft.com and look to see what free downloads they have there. you can also look on microsoft.com to see what others are downloading ok check out freestuff.com to ok god bless
